| I have been asked to add a Haikus section. Map admits this this is not an area with which she is familiar but was given the following as an example: syllables 5, 7, 5; 3 lines long: loquacious, he spoke/his words flowed over my head/overwhelming me I'm sure the Haiku experts on the board will give us examples but the following link gives us a good guide and has examples. I'll have to try the Haiku thing myself! It looks fun. Haiku (俳句 high-koo) are short poems that use sensory language to capture a feeling or image. They are often inspired by an element of nature, a moment of beauty or a poignant experience. Haiku poetry was originally developed by Japanese poets, and the form was adapted to English and other languages by poets in other countries. http://www.wikihow.com/Write-a-Haiku-Poem | |

| And what's to stop us creating haiku cycles?
Garden (Lauds to Prime)
Collared mother priest Ensconced in cherry pulpit; Plainsong for the dawn.
Evergreen chorale Response, holly chancel arch Endlessly redrawn.
Wind moved rafters flick Across the nave, paint sun tile Patterns on the lawn.
Absolutely nothing to do with Alias Smith & Jones of course... _________________  The Medicine Man sits on the stage, Eats fire and water, earth and air while we all stare.

| Never mind, Apothecary, as long as they paint such beautiful, vivid pictures of nature. How do you do it? Consider me amazed. _________________ "I can resist everything - except temptation" Oscar Wilde For me temptation is Hannibal Heyes, especially in chaps!

| This is not ASJ, but about my avatar. And horses have some connection to ASJ...

Proudly arched dark neck Sunlight dancing sparks on mane Horse prince's eyes shine
He loved his outings in Windsor Great Park. When it was his turn to be unloaded from the horse box, he would always first stop at the top of the ramp and take a look around. He looked like a king on his throne, surveying his kingdom. He enjoyed to move and loved a gallop. It was like a dream, flying along on him. I miss him very much. For me he'll always be this proud prince of a horse who loved to run. _________________ "I can resist everything - except temptation" Oscar Wilde For me temptation is Hannibal Heyes, especially in chaps!
