lines up

[By the way, Nancy, in what context do you know the phrase condition report? It's a regular part of life for a museum person or conservator - recording the condition of a collection object, art, or whatever. I'm curious as to what else it means. HW]

Hi HW ~ 'condition report' is a generic term also used to cover several documents in the mental health sector.  The report should be produced on a regular basis, focussing on all aspects of a patient, not just mental, but physical health, their immediate environment, their support network, goals that the patient may be working towards and what possible enhancement or changes to treatment is appropriate.

Up beat

music hall

~ In my opinion the best music hall writers were Weston and Lee.  Together they wrote over 5000 songs, some of which are "I'm Henry the Eighth I am", "When Father Papered the Parlour", "Knees up Mother Brown", "Goodbye-ee" (this ended as a very poignant song from the the first world war, as both Weston and Lee were very anti-war).

Perhaps my favourite is "My Grandfather's clock", I have put some lyrics below (there is actually quite a decent version by Johnny Cash.  Google it if anyone is interested.

My grandfather's clock was too large for the shelf,
So it stood ninety years on the floor.

It was taller by half than the old man himself,
Though it weighed not a penniweight more.

It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born,
And was always his treasure and pride.

But it stopped.  Short.  Never to go again when the old man died.

~ ~ ~
Henry Work laid claim to the song in USA and it is still debated who wrote it first, but like patents, some of the origins can be a bit lost in time.

You are a font of knowledge, NW. I knew the song (not) about Henry VIII, but never knew its creators were so busy. I'll definitely be googling later.
