It pays to read the Words of the Day! Very Happy

L is for Leader(s); the boys were natural at it, I think. And they were the leaders of the DHG, of course.

N is for Numpty - luckily for our boys, some lawmen fell into this category.

I had to look up numpty - another addition to my Celtic vocabulary. Good one!

O is for outstanding - as our boys were in so many ways.

Ouch, NW. Just spotted your new signature. (And now you have me wondering whether it's American or British... whistle )

U is for the Unfailing optimism the boys display in continuing to persue the elusive amnesty

affraid    Bloody X again!

X is for xerosis ~ abnormal dryness of tissues, such as our boys might have suffered when experiencing extreme thirst when stuck in the dessert for an extended length of time.

  chocolate dipped

Y is for Yee-haw (the boys must have used it or at least heard it at some point, possibly during some cattle drive)

Sorry, NW. I've seen it several times recently and was just bursting to comment on it somewhere. I can't help it - every time I imagine the boys sloughing through sticky toffee or something. Very Happy

Yee-haw. I get to start another round.

A is for ASJ - which is, of course, the often used abbreviation for our favourite Western series.

Yes! Thank you, NW, I surely will...

C is for Cashier - a job Heyes had for some days (and which proved very hard for him, though not his back)

NW, you really think Heyes needed a double-headed coin? I believe he was dexterous enough to "nudge" a toss when required. Only then, of course.

F is for Flashing smile, which both boys were good at

(of course, in my opinion one was much better at it *sigh*)

G is for glad, as the boys are when they don't see a posse behind them, and they do see a saloon with ignorant poker players in it.

Jail

(Thank you MAP, for your Words of the Day)
