Here's an article fans of Sherlock might find interesting regarding the upcoming season, with passing reference to fan fic.

Thanks, Remuda. Very interesting! I'd comment more, but I want to avoid any spoilers.

I am a big Sherlock fan and my lips are sealed even though I am bouncing up and down with excitement  bounce at the mere mention.

This was a great link, Remuda and very interesting to see that there's nothing new under the sun.

Fantastic link, Remuda.  Thanks for posting.  I'm glad to see there are other Sherlock fans on the board and I'm always happy to talk about that!  I don't know what you've watched over there, so I don't want to put out a spoiler by saying too much.

Help! Help! I just rec'd an e-mail from The Wild Rose Press that they want to e-publish my book. I don't know what to do! Excited, to say the least, because this is what I've always wanted. But I don't know what I should do. I haven't even rec'd a contract, but the lady has already suggested a change in the manuscript. I'm open to suggestions!

Congratulations!   jump face jump face That's awesome news!  The only advice I can give you is to research them on the internet and take note of what other new authors say and be aware of fees upfront.  Other than that, enjoy and celebrate.  You've earned it.  Please let us know more as it develops.  We'll be very happy to publicise it for you.   applause

In regard to my post dated Oct 2016, I did sign the contract with Wild Rose Press. Everything I saw on-line looked good. They couldn't give me a specific release date yet but I know that it will be later in 2017. I will keep you updated.

Also, I'd like to post a story on this site, but sincerely don't know how. I had a challenge story for December, but couldn't find info on a specific format in order to do so. Can you direct me for the next one please? Thanks lots!

Congrats on the contract! I hope it works out well for you!

As for posting a challenge story, here's the way I do it. I write the story in another program and then copy it. Then come here, find the corresponding topic (month), and scoll all the way to the bottom of the page where on the bottom left is a button that says 'postreply'. I hit that and once it opens, I use the clipboard icon in the tools to paste my story into. Once it shows up, I hit the send button below it. I'm using a tablet so I'm sure others are using/know another way to do it.

Hope that helps a little bye

Congrats 2
Congratulations on your contract, pambaze.  Please keep us all posted on your new book.  If you are posting from Word please copy your story into notepad first, and then copy from from the notepad to remove unwated formatting code from contaminating the board.  If you need any more help just PM admin and I can talk you through your particular system.
